WELCOME TO THE PROUT INSTITUTE OF AUSTRALIA
The Prout Institute of Australia (PIA) is a non-profit cooperative organisation whose purpose is to foster a deeper, critical understanding of the social and economic theories of P.R. Sarkar.
In particular, PIA promotes Sarkar's philosophy of Neohumanism and his Progressive Utilisation Theory (Prout). More generally, PIA explores new models and visions of self and society.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT PROUT
“Prout is very important to all who yearn for a liberation that starts from economics and opens to the totality of human existence.”
Leonardo Boff, co-founder of Liberation Theology.

“An important contribution to re-thinking the disastrous course of the current economic globalisation.”
Hazel Henderson, economist, author of "Beyond Globalisation".

“Prout is the theory of a self-reliant economic and political system that is spiritually rather than materialistically inspired…. The goal is true human growth that satisfies basic needs.”
Johan Galtung, Professor of Peace Studies, TRANSCEND.

“Alternative visions are crucial at this moment in history. Prout’s cooperative model of economic democracy, based on cardinal human values and sharing the resources of the planet for the welfare of everyone, deserves our serious consideration.”
Noam Chomsky, Professor of Linguistics (MIT), renowned academic and activist.
